Centre for Education and Development (CFED) is a registered non-profit making
organisation dedicated to advocacy on education issues with strong bias on girls’ education.
The main aim is to keep all girls in school and foster community development.
CFED was founded in 2015 by Albert Sharra who later approached other five members from within Chilomoni Township in Blantyre City of Malawi.
Today, CFED is being run by eight volunteers who form the executive committee of the organization. CFED has also a Board of Trustee.
It is registered under the Trustees Act.
Its approach is to engage citizens to contribute to solving community problems without waiting for someone to do it for them. It mainly
relies on donations from well-wishers.
